My Premier League Relegation Fight
Predictions!

16th

Something is telling me that Norwich will survive, I just think that what Paul Lambert has done with the club is nothing short of remarkable. I think the team spirit will be outstanding amongst the squad after the last 2 seasons. The strike force of Vaughan, Morison and Holt looks quite impressive to me, they all have goals in them and are certainly no strangers to the English game. their defence may well be the weak spot but I think the strength of their midfield and strikers may pull them through and under the guidance of a top manager in Paul Lambert I can see them just staying up!

I believe that they have made some pretty shrewd signings that i think will just about save them from the drop, I really like the strike partnership between DJ Campbell and Jay Bothroyd, I think they will work really well together, Jay is a big strong lad and DJ scares defenders with his pace and aggression. The signing of Kieran Dyer can go one way or the other, if he stays fit he has a lot of quality to offer but if injury strikes again they can pretty much give up on him. A lot depends on their star man Adel Taraabt, will he stay or will he go? that's the big question, if he decides to stay that will be a massive boost to the squad and it will bring good momentum for the start of the season. The manager Warnock is pretty experienced, he had a bad time last time out in the Premier League though with Sheffield United but he'll be looking to put that right this time around.

I like Blackburn as a team, but I don't think they will be good enough to survive in the Premier League this season, they have lost Phil Jones to Manchester United, he would have been a star player for them this coming season and as of yet they havent signed a replacement, they are also rumours flying around that Chris Samba might be off to a bigger club. The signings they have made as well aren't exactly too impressive, David Goodwillie, he's done OK in the Scottish league but hes unproven and I don't see him getting a massive amount of goals for them this season. One player i really like the look of though is David Hoilett, he looked a top player last season in a struggling Blackburn team, if he is on top form they might survive but it comes to their experience player to help them through this season, the likes of Paul Robinson and David Dunn will have to be on top of their game. Another reason I have put them in the relegation zone is because I don't think Steve Kean is the best manager they could have brought in. A lot of pressure on his shoulders!

Disappointed to have to put Swansea in my relegation zone as they are my favourite of the teams that have come up this season. I just feel in the championship they can play this great attractive football and scare teams and really impress but the Premier League is a whole different level, as Blackpool found out last season, they can play their attacking football and grab a few goals but ultimately many of the top half teams will rip them to pieces if their defence isn't up to the job. I look at their defence and it is no where near as bad an Blackpool's were but I can still see them been taken apart by some of the top attacking teams, which doesn't bode well in terms of goal difference and trying to build confidence. Their strikers may be the weak spot of the team, the signings of Danny Graham and Leroy Lita are great signings for a Championship team but will they cut it in the Premier League, Lita didn't even have a good season for Middlesbrough last season! A lot of pressure on them to get the goals needed to survive!

I also really like Wigan as a team , i think their manager is going to be great, he just has that aura about him. BUT the current team they have at the moment is just not going to be good enough, they lost their key man Charles N'Zogbia to Aston Villa who will be a massive loss to them, he had the ability to pull something out of the hat at any moment and provide real inspiration to his team mates. Another big loss is Cleverley back to Manchester United, he really grew as a player last season and they will need to hope the likes of Mccarthy, McArthur or new signing David Jones can step up to the plate! I also feel Victor Moses is going to be a massive player for them this season, he has the ability to be a top player and will try to help cover the loss of N'Zogbia. They have to reply heavily on Hugo Rodellega for goals again this season, hes a great player but he seems to be the only player in team who will bring them regular goals! Unfortunately this may be the season where Roberto Martinez's brilliance cant save them!
