Spurs in talks with Adebayor!

Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp has confirmed the club are in talks with Manchester City over a loan move for 27-year-old striker Emmanuel Adebayor.

Adebayor fell out with Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini last year and spent a spell on loan at Real Madrid.

Spurs and City have been in talks for some time over a deal, with Adebayor's reported £170,000 a week wage packet proving to be the only real problem.

"The chairman is talking to Man City about the player," said Redknapp.

Redknapp added: "Where they [the negotiations] are at, I genuinely don't know."

Would be the perfect signing for Tottenham i reckon, has that extra bit of ability to the strikers they already have, he has pace and power, he is great to have defending corners for you and after a good end to the season at Real Madrid he has proved himself to be one of the best strikers in the game on his his day. Obviously his wages at Man City are astronomical, so they will need a lot of working out because Spurs wont be able to match his wages! He will maybe have to half his wages or less to be able to play for them. Would be a top signing if the deal goes through though!
