Stoke made final bids for Spur’s pair
Stoke City have made a final offer to Tottenham for striker Peter Crouch and midfielder Wilson Palacios. The Potters have been in talks with Spurs for several weeks. Chairman Peter Coates told BBC Radio Stoke: "We've made our last bid, the ball is in their court. We shall not be negotiating from where we are. The last conversation I had with Spurs, we had not agreed anything. We'll see what happens, but we haven't got any further." www.bbc.co.uk
Both would be top signings IMO, would probably push Stoke away from the bottom half of the table for this coming season, What Palacios will bring is a bit of steel into midfield, hes a no-nonsense central midfielder that Stoke dont really have and well... we know what Peter Crouch will bring a bit of height to an already powerful strike force, wouldnt like to be a defending team at a corner against Stoke, Kenwyne Jones, Robert Huth, Ricardo Fuller, Ryan Shawcross, and Peter Crouch if they manage to get him.
